Insurance Options

At Leisure Car Rental St. Maarten, we offer three types of insurance coverage: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Insurance, and Third-Party Liability Coverage.

• The CDW can be broken down into two types: Regular CDW (or simply CDW), and Zero Deductible CDW (or ZD CDW).
• The Collision Damage Waiver, covers damage to the rental vehicle, with a deductible of US$950- This can be purchased upon rental, starting at $10- per day.
• The ZD CDW covers damage to the rental vehicle, with $0.00 deductible. Leisure Car Rental is the only Car Rental Agency in St. Maarten / St. Martin to offer this type of fully comprehensive coverage. We call this a 'Peace of Mind' coverage. It is good to know that, if anything happens during the rental period, there will be no additional cost!

The ZD CDW starts at $20- per day.

It is not necessary to purchase both the CDW and the ZD CDW. The ZD CDW is simply CDW, plus an extra fee to remove the $950- deductible. Likewise with Theft Insurance.

Theft Insurance covers theft of the vehicle.

The Liability Covers Third-Party Damages up to US50,000-. This can be purchased at $10- per day on any of our cars, with a $0.00 Deductible. Or $5- per day with a deductible of $950.00.

To be fully covered, we recommend the ZD CDW, plus ZD Liability, and the ZD Theft Insurance starting at $50- per day.

LIABILITY COVERAGE

The Liability coverage is not included in the list above since it is a Flat Rate of $10- per day on any vehicle.
Or $5 per day with a deductible of $950 on any vehicle. 

Important: All accidents/incidents/damages MUST be reported to the Police and Leisure Car Rental. All prices are in US Dollars.
