Being such a small island, it’s almost hard to imagine that we could have been nominated in so many categories at such a prestigious event. Besides the fact that there are two independent countries on one island, there are several more reasons why we’re widely known as the ‘big’ little Caribbean island. At only 37 square miles, this little island has almost forty clean, white sandy beaches! Over thirty different nationalities. Gourmet restaurants, casinos, luxury resorts, and all the amenities of a big city!
World Travel Awards has revealed that Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa will host the Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony 2017. Situated on 12 miles of crystal white sand on Grace Bay, Beaches Turks & Caicos will welcome leaders from across the region on Saturday 16th September as they gather to see who among them has been voted the pinnacle of the travel industry.
St. Maarten has been nominated several times in the Caribbean category at the 2017 World Travel Awards, including the Caribbean’s Leading Airport, Caribbean’s Leading Destination, Caribbean’s Leading Independent Car Rental, and many more categories. I'm sure many of you would agree that we have one of the best Airports in the Caribbean! Yes, we can definitely be considered as a Leading destination! And with 5 star companies like Leisure Car Rental, we surely have a chance of bringing home the Car Rental Award. Being nominated at the WTA is indeed a huge honor for this tiny island.
So grab a seat, buckle up, and head on over to www.worldtravelawards.com and cast your vote for St. Maarten / St. Martin. Doesn’t matter if you’re local, or tourist, cast your vote for St. Maarten! The voting process is a bit tedious I must say, since first time voters will have to register, then confirm their email address, then log in, and vote. But if you have the two minutes to spare, we truly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
